If you happen to be passing by the Union Square Greenmarket in NYC, you must make a stop at Rick’s Picks, a table of pickled treasures. If getting to New York is not in the cards for you, have no fear, his website features the same stuff-go here.
We decided to try the “phat beets”, which are pickled beets that Rick suggests we serve with a spinach salad or on crostini with soft goat cheese spread. This guy knows what he is talking about and we are so pleased that there is a new generation of picklers. Next time, we’ll try the gift pack or one of the other collections (love the pregnancy one-how funny?).
