Dear Cooks,
What brand of grill seasoning does Rachael use and where can I get it? She uses is a lot and I really want to know.
Thanks,
Clare
Hi Clare,
Rachael prefers McCormick’s Montreal Steak Seasoning most of the time but we have found many other brands of either Montreal Steak Seasoning or Quebec Steak Seasoning. If you happen to actually go to Montreal, you must stop by a restaurant called Schwartz’s, who is famous for their spice mixtures and who claims to have invented these. The blends usually include salt, black pepper, sometimes garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, dill, and other secret spices.
Happy seasoning!

I used to use McCormick’s Montreal Steak Seasoning, until recently I came across Amazing Taste Steak House seasoning and found it so superior to anything that I’ve used in the past.

I don’t have a food processor. Can I use a blender instead? So many of Rachael’s recipes call for a food processor.
Thanks,
Clare

I haven’t tried the amazing taste steak house seasoning, but I have used their poultry sesasoning and it is fantastic! Not only does it taste great but it also helps to keep the meat juicy and tender. I usually over cook chicken because I’m always worried about it being pink in the center and then it ends up dried out. But with this seasoning I can cook my chicken “well done” and it still comes out tender and juicy.

Q: Can you give more recipes for cooking, saute, or grilling portabella mushroom caps? Also, are these to be served as a meat or vegetable?

Am just learning my way around RR’s website. Also, heard on today’s show that last week, contestant had a winning jambalaya recipe. Just got back from New Orleans. Had yummy jambalaya there. Want to prep some for extended family on Mother’s Day. Anyone know how to find above recipe &/or have a special jambalaya of their own?
Thanks, Kate.
