Two Rach tips that help Posted by Letters from you on August 14, 2008 | 3 Comments

Dear Rachael,

I wish to thank you for two things.

#1: Getting me over my fear of carmelizing onions.  I’ve seen this on other cooking programs but you seemed to make it so easy and it really is!!!!!  I now do my breakfast burritos with the onions and damn are they good.

#2:  The tip of using the microplane for garlic. What a terrific idea.  I’ve tossed my garlic press and just use the microplane now.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We have a little group that gathers every Monday-Friday just to watch you at a local bar here in Milwaukee.  You’re cuter than a bugs ear and we love watching you on Channel 58 every day.  Looking forward to your new season.  (and I talk to my food too)

    Hi! Rachael Ray!
    My name is Francine Sanderson
I live in Newark NJ, I love watching your show.
You are so pretty and funny most of the times, especially with the pets.
I took my drawings off fashionindustrynetwork.com for a reason,I started seeing some of my long train gowns and other ideas of mines being combine and displayed with other peoples fashions So I took them off!.I’m still holding on too my dream of geting them out on the market.
In the mean time I’m steady drawing and coming up with new ideas. The latest I came up with is a different style of shoe.
it’s already drawn up! The name of the shoes will be called dress stiletoes sandle shoes.

I have a question about garlic. I love to use fresh garlic and bought a large container and have had it in my refridgerator but every time we open the fridge the entire house gets a serious whiff of garlic! I am thinking that maybe storing the garlic in the freezer may be a better idea. Does anyone know whether this is going to effect the garlic or help with the smell? Love the show, and love the website!
