One of my pet peeves is when the wedding hair outdoes the wedding cake towards decoration and complexity. (Keep it simple! Less is more!) Yes, this is a big day and you can play it up, but you still want to look like you.
The first step in picking your perfect wedding day hair-do is to decide on your dress. Your hairstyle should work around your dress and facial shape.
For example: If the dress has an extremely low back it might make sense to balance it with some hair left down.
The next step is to be sure to do a hair trial before the actual day. You don’t want to be undecided about your hair on the big day. I recommend doing the hair/make-up trial about 2-4weeks before the wedding.
When preparing for a wedding making these types of appointments months in advance is logical, but be sure your hairdresser is not going to take a last minute vacation. A bride’s emotional balance does not include a last moment hairdresser exchange program!
On the day, if I have my preference I like to prepare hair first then make up. Although the order is not crucial. If there are multiple people in the wedding party and they are all having their hair done try to budget an assistant stylist so you the bride can have the most attention!

If you don’t plan on having your hairdresser stay for the entire evening be sure they leave you with extra pins and spray for any hair malfunctions. (Be easy on the hair spray as it can weigh your hair down!)
A trend of lates is to change your dress midway through the evening be sure the initial hairstyle will work with your second outfit or have a solution for a hair change as well.
A simple accesory can add a nice touch!
Above all be yourself with your hair choice.
Remember keep the stress to a minimum and enjoy your special day!
Cheers!!

I agree 100%! Brides, KISS (keep it simple and sexy) your groom wants to see you on your big day, not you dressed as a giant fairycake. be yourself, your most beautiful self.

I agree but be the best you can be on your big day. Brides look in the mirror choose a do that will stand up the entire day.. perhaps w a touch up or two. A dress that will accent your best points. Don’t be hanging out-showing to much. Remember this is how you’ll be in your photo’s forever..& you want to look your best. Look at your self as others do and will.. Simple is good but to simple is not..Same with over done. Use common sence
LasVegas Stars bride failed to look in a mirror when choosing her dress.. First thing you notice is to much junk in the trunk with this mermaid style gown next unkept wild hair..not the $ just poor judgment..
